Hats Off To You! National Small Business Week

It really is a great week to be a small business owner. Especially if you are willing celebrate how amazing you are as a small business owner. Look at these stats from the SBA for example.

Small Business is the Heartbeat of the US Economy

Small firms:
• Represent 99.7 percent of all employer firms.
• Employ just over half of all private sector employees.
• Pay 44 percent of total U.S. private payroll.
• Have generated 64 percent of net new jobs over the past 15 years.
• Create more than 50 percent of nonfarm private gross domestic product (GDP).

Wow! Small Business has a Large Impact on our country and it's a good week to recognize our contribution.

As small business owners, we wear a lot of hats. The employer hat, the negotiator hat, the networker hat, the worker-bee hat, the marketer hat...well you get my idea. Now add to that the fact that we are busy raising families or trying to eat healthy or participating in our communities or (gasp) even just having fun once in awhile and you see why we deserve a little celebration. So with my biggest smile and best wishes, I take my hat off to you. Well, all 17 of them that is.
